Kara Counselling and Training Trust was founded in 1989 by Fr. Michael Kelly SJ, but its legal entity received registration in 1991.

KCTT's vision is to work towards a society free of suffering where all people take charge of and live long and productive lives in freedom and equality, with Zambia taking its place proudly among the great nations of the world.

UMOYO OPENED  My LIFE “ MERCY MWALE NARRATES

Mercy Mwale lived in Kanyama with her mother and father. She comes from a family of 4 and she' a first born. In 1999 she lost her mother when she was 17 years. In 2001 she lost her father and failed to continue with her education. She ended in Grade nine. In 2002 she was met by a care giver who was identifying Orphans and Vulnerable girls in the locality where she resided. The care giver narrated the Umoyo programme to her and after realizing what the project stood for, she quickly accepted and praised God for the gesture. Read more...

One of the successful story - Kara Clinic

Dorothy Musatwe was diagnosed with HIV in 2005. During the assessment for eligibility her CD4 count was 41. She was enrolled for care at Kara clinic and started on ARV drugs. Read more...
